Guitar Theory Unlocked:
Make Music Make Sense

The most common chords - major and minor chords - are formed simply by selecting your starting point in the scale, and then "stacking thirds", which just means taking the third and the fifth notes up from the starting position.

This gives you three notes, which is all we need to create a chord. In any major key, there are three major chords and three minor chords. Understanding how they are related makes a world of difference to common tasks like figuring out songs for the first time, learning new songs, transposing, and much more!

No matter your skill level on the guitar, it is super important to understand how music works. To build a strong musical foundation, checkout my Guitar Theory Unlocked course today!
