Scales are SO important! Scales give you the notes you need to work with, not only for solos, but for everything you want to play on your guitar. Chords, riffs, solos – everything is connected to the scales you choose to use. In this section we’re going to look at diatonic and pentatonic scales, which are the most common ones. After this section, you should have a very good handle on how your fretboard works, from one end to the other!
